Thanks to the clients of the Goodwill Card and ČSOB Private Banking, CZK 2,250,000 was raised for charity last year

The Goodwill Card is an iconic product of ČSOB Private Banking. This card allows users to contribute to charitable purposes with every payment. In 2020, users of the card raised a total of CZK 2,250,000 for charity. Since the beginning of the project in 2014, almost CZK 16 million was raised to help people in need.

“Last year, the proceeds from the card helped Karel buy a handbike as a sports compensation aid. Some of the money went to the Black Horses Foundation which used it to buy four handbikes. FOKUS from České Budějovice received CZK 100,000 to support field care workers. We are very pleased that in seven years, the Goodwill Card proved how much it can help those who need it most. We will proudly continue in this activity in the future; I’m confident that we will receive support from even more clients with whom we can join forces to help others,” said Martin Kosobud, Executive Director of ČSOB Private Banking.

The Goodwill Card is a contactless debit Mastercard World Elite payment card intended exclusively for ČSOB Private Banking clients. Clients can choose how much of their payments they want to send to charity (0.3 percent, 0.5 percent or 0.8 percent); the sum will be added to the joint contribution from ČSOB and Mastercard.
