New Year’s Concert at Prague Castle
On Tuesday 1 January 2019, the popular ČSOB Private Banking new year’s concert was held in the Spanish Hall at Prague Castle.
The Talich Chamber Orchestra made its traditional appearance conducted by its artistic director Jan Talich. He took us through the whole evening and also played a new violin from G. P. Maggini’s workshop from 1590, which comes from a private collection of one of ČSOB Private Banking’s clients.
Besides compositions by Antonín Dvořák and his pupil Vítězslav Novák, our clients also had the opportunity to hear famous film music played by superb soloists Michaela Gemrotová and Jan Kříž.
During the evening, visitors could also view František Muzika’s painting “Night II” from the collection of the Kodl Gallery. In 2018, the painting was sold at auction by the Kodl Gallery for CZK 9,600,000.00, a record sum for a work by the artist in an auction. Ivan Herák and his band, who immediately won over the audience, made for pleasant listening at the festive reception.
Thank you to all clients who decided to start 2019 together with us.
